Torque and Trails- round one
Date: 13th September 2025
Round one of three this new event type will see e-mountain bikes only race uphill on a selection of well know downhill trails at various places around Nelson. The first event will be held on trails in the Codgers area. Starting at 9am at the Codgers Hub on Brook street with registration and a safety briefing before the first of 4 climbs and 3 descents.
While the fastest times count, a feature of this racing format will be a handicap system based on age, weight and torque of your bike to even out the times for a second set of prizes from the $2,000 pool of prizes supplied by Rev Bikes of Nelson and Richmond.
Prize giving will be held at Lombardi’s at 6pm that evening
